Biography

Patricia grew up in Batavia, NY, then moved to practice medicine in Albuquerque, NM and Wyoming. She returned to NY state in 2007 to be near family and became a full time fabric artist. Her studio is in Wellsville, NY, near her sister who is a longarm quilter. She has been sewing since she was a teenager , but only started quilting in 2004. Thanks to Ann Silva's Bernina she is now happily enamored with fabric and her Bernina. After dedicating herself to fabric art and taking classes from many talented teachers, she has incorporated many techniques into her fabric art. Creating portraits and landscapes from photographs in the style of impressionistic realism has become a passion. She loves doing presentations and workshops to share techniques and enthusiasm. Volunteering to work with children from kindergarten to high school to introduce them to fabric art has been very rewarding for her. She welcomes invitations to visit schools for workshops.
